A MURDER OF CROWS

A Murder of Crows_6kx6k_with text.jpg

LYRICS:

You’re drinking all the water I’m saving,
A riverbed of coyote bones,
The air’s so mean you can taste it,
It’s like waiting on a murder of crows,

Now where did you come from,
And where did you go with me,
Got nowhere to run to,
No one to hear my screams,

I’m drinking all the water you bathe in,
The frog’s cut deep in my throat,
The clock tick-tock’s and I face it,
You pour the poison deep in my soul,

Now where did you come from,
And where did you go with me,
Got nowhere to run to,
No one to hear my screams,

I really really hope that you’re changing,
I got a feeling you won’t…
So damn sick of your ways kid,
Passive-aggressive and cold,
It’s like waiting on a murder of crows…

Reaching my limits with dealing with an unhealthy relationship with "friends", "A Murder of Crows" speaks to the exhaustion, depression and misery of being around someone who never lets you truly be yourself.

This song was one of the only tunes off both of these albums where I gave a lot of creative freedom to Brett (drums) and Leng (bass). We were running low on time when recording this but the parts that both of these guys came up with was way better than anything I had thought up.
